Mother's Day Design/Poetry Contest


We are accepting designs and poems for a special Mother' Day promotion. Submit your original artwork or poem in the comment section of this posting or by emailing it to contests@screenplaydesigns.com.  If your design or poem is chosen, you will be awarded a cash prize of $100.0o!

How to enter:

1. Post your original poem in the comments section below this post. Send your original artwork by email to contests@screenplaydesigns.com

2. Be sure to include your email address in the email address section of the comment form so that we can contact you if you win! (email addresses will not be published). 

3. You have until March 31, 2011, 5:00pm EST  to enter – so don’t delay! (for full official rules, click on the “contests – official rules” page of the blog)

4. Design Detail: 1.75" x 5.5" with 1/4" outer bleed.  Design submission may be 72 dpi, JPEG, GIF or PDF but chosen design must be supplied 300 dpi for production.  Please contact us at contests@screenplaydesigns.com if you have any questions.

5. Poetry Detail: Max word count - 60, Mother theme.

MOTHER'S DAY DESIGN AND POETRY CONTEST

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE ODDS OF WINNING. OFFER VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

1. ELIGIBILITY. The Contest is open to people 18 years of age or older (as of 04/01/11) residing in the 50 United States or Canada (excluding any jurisdiction where participation would be unlawful). Employees and immediate family members of employees of Screenplay Designs Ltd. and its affiliates are not eligible. 

Under the age of 18?  Please have a guardian or parent over the age of 18 enter for you!

2. CONTEST PERIOD. The Contest begins on 10/06/10 and runs until 03/31/11 5:00pm EST.

3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE. To participate, visit www.screenplaydesigns.blogspot.com and post your original poetry on the blog, under the “comments” section of the contest post. Participants must include an email address in the email section of the comment form in order to be included in the contest. Email designs 72 dpi JPEG, GIF or PDF to contests@screenplaydesigns.com.  Designs and Poetry must be copyright free.  Designs must be supplied, if chosen as a winning entry, as 300 dpi reproduction quality and formatting.  Email addresses will not be published.

4. SELECTION OF WINNER. winners will be chosen from the pool of eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winner will be contacted via email on 04/01/2011 (the day after the contest closes). Winners will have 1 week to submit designs/poetry in proper formatting and sign copyright waiver to claim the prize and should the prize go unclaimed, another winner may be chosen from the eligible entries.

5. PRIZES. $100.00 for each chosen design or poem

6.. BINDING EFFECT. By participating in this Contest you agree to be bound by these Official Rules. All federal, provincial, state and local laws apply.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION. Screenplay Design Ltd’s decisions are final on all matters related to this Contest. Screenplay Designs Ltd. and its service providers are not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, delayed or garbled registrations or entries, incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, including but not limited to technical malfunctions, human or technical error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of: any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, so are or any combination thereof. Screenplay Designs Ltd. reserves the right, without prior notice, to terminate this Contest, in whole or in part, or modify this Contest in any way, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Screenplay Designs Ltd. determines, in its sole discretion, that fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Screenplay Designs Ltd’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest. Screenplay Designs Ltd. reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the Contest process or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. Screenplay Designs Ltd’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Known for the Quality of our Verses

We recently had a call from a consumer in Rhode Island that had purchased a Mini Reflections To My Daughter-In-Law plaque from a local Hallmark store and she wanted 2 more.  The Hallmark store wasn't able to order these for her so she called us direct.  We try to search for retailers in the consumer's area when we get calls like this since we are a wholesale distributor and normally don't deal directly with consumers. We did a search for another retailer in her area but were unable to find one.  She said she had looked at the other products in that store and other stores but none of them had the quality of verse that touched her heart and made this gift such a special one.  So special in fact that she was willing to pay for the postage from our Canadian office directly to her. Not many products out there have the same impact as the verses we use on all our products.  This is just one of the many stories we hear and we are very pleased and count ourselves blessed that we can offer great value and produce a product that touches so many people.

Back to Basics

Screenplay's products offer retailers a quality product that sells through.  Other product lines don't get reordered as the economy slows but our customers keep ordering our product.  Why?  We offer consumers value for their money and a personal connection to the recipient through the poems, verses and sentiments on the product that touch their heart and make the gift much more than just a pretty ornament. It's a lasting reminder of happy events and those in your life who care about you.  We all need a lift now and then and every poem and verse in our product line is uplifting, heartwarming and sure to pull at the heart strings of consumers.

Celebration Collection handpainted wine glasses have been selling off the shelves for retailers that have taken the leap.  We received a call recently from a Hallmark store that had decided to "give them a try".  They had ordered a small selection of 12 designs.  After she put them out on display she sold 5 within the hour and she was calling me to reorder.
